Bachelor's and Master's theses

We run multiple projects a year for interested students, accepting both Master’s thesis and semester students as well those doing their Bachelor’s thesis. Our lab is highly interdisciplinary and covers a wide variety of topics such as plant-plant, plant-insect, insect-host, plant-microbe and pathogen-plant/insect interactions.

If you would like to do a project in the Biocommunication Group, please get in touch via the email address below. Let us know when you are looking to start, your area of interest, and why you would like to do a project in our lab.

Some examples of previous projects are:

  • How bumblebee damage affects plant flowering rate
  • Chemical communication in plant-pollinator communities
  • Novel plant defenses against herbivory in invasive species
  • Utilizing soil microbiota to promote crop health
  • Mosquito behavioural responses to malaria-manipulated volatiles
  • Influence of learning on mosquito host preference

For Master’s students, here are the Downloadguidelines (PDF, 155 KB) for projects in our lab.
